Why Domestic Flour Mill is Replacing the Stone Ground Mill?


For decades we all have been using stone mill flour for our everyday food. For years it has been the only and the oldest way to get flour before electricity was invented.


But these days this traditional way of flour milling has started taking a back seat. Although some of the oldest stone mills are still in use, new flour mills have started to pop up and it is taking the centre stage due to their various benefits and multiple usages.




Because of all these, the flour is gaining more and more momentum as thrilling an ingredient to explore as ice creams or chocolates. Let’s find out what is the current scenario that is pushing stone ground to take the back seat and clearing place of domestic flour mills.

Difference between domestic flour mill and stone-ground mill

Domestic flour mill produces any type of flour i.e. white flour to whole wheat flour including semolina, which is not an easy take for stone mills. The former produces flour that is highly consistent and you do not have to sieve it.
